In addition to the embarrassing situation internationally, our country's LED companies are also in danger of development domestically. They have won the praise but failed to win the hearts of the people, and the popularity of lighting products is extremely low. Since my country's LED lighting does not have a standard system from power supply to finished product, there is no requirement for mandatory testing and certification. Each company's existing equipment and facilities, respective work foundations and technical levels are unevenly developed, resulting in a wide variety of LED lighting application products on the market, with different performances and poor interchangeability. This also makes consumers temporarily lack confidence in LED lighting, a new lighting product.
As the saying goes, industrial development standards come first. In view of the reality of external difficulties in my country's LED industry, Guangdong took the lead in proposing and implementing the "LED Lighting Standard Optical Component Plan". Since then, the formulation of LED-related standards and the establishment of standard systems have entered a stage of rapid development. In 2012, Guangdong Province established a standard optical component project team, and the first batch of 21 LED standard optical component series normative documents have been promoted to the market.
