The first standard for lighting the long-awaited has been announced.
This standard is called "V1" (Specification V1), launched by the industry organization IoT-Ready Alliance, aims to push the development of animal lighting field.
It defines the interface that allows any type of Networking (IoT) sensor or control module to seamlessly connect to the lamps or other building systems. This standard is independent of network protocol.
Lighting expert Enlighted CEO Joe Costello said: "the interface specification is an important first step in the implementation of the IoT-Ready Alliance, for now and in the future in the lamp installation technology of the Internet of things become simple.
The standard of all elements of the interface in detail, including electrical and mechanical, software elements, and allows the components in the field modification and replacement without dismantling.
The specification was developed based on the royalty free license, and any network protocol (including Thread, BLE, ZigBee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi and IP/ Ethernet) cooperative work.
It is backwards compatible with the traditional lighting control, and can be used to achieve the traditional lighting control, until the need to use the Internet of things.
"We announced the launch of the fifth generation sensor, it will meet with the IoT-Ready interface specification. We are also committed to ensure that all future sensors are in line with the IoT-Ready standard. We look forward to cooperation with members of the development of new technology, accelerate the adoption of LED lighting and intelligent building. "
Karl J company TridonicAtco nsson said: "IoT-Ready Alliance has come a long way in a short period of one year, we not only developed the IoT-Ready interface specification, and sharp high according to the specifications of the launch of the first IoT-Ready LED drive. "
