I don't know if you are as afraid to touch metal objects as I do in winter, because the sudden static is always crackling on me. According to the Tencent digital news, the less popular elder brother, the researchers have finally discovered a new use - they invented a new type of cloth that could produce enough static electricity and even light a small LED lamp.
This special material inventor is Jinshan Wu (transliteration), a professor of materials at Han Guocheng Museum University. According to his introduction, the new material, in fact, mainly contains two kinds of materials, one is silver plated fiber and the other is a Zinc Oxide nanorod coated with poly (two methoxane). Some of our daily activities will make the two layers of material friction with each other to produce available electricity.
In fact, the main principle is similar to that of our junior high school "natural" scientific silk friction glass rods. By friction, the electrons can be exchanged between the two materials, and the positive and negative poles are produced. Then, when the two materials are separated, a small current is generated.
One of the challenges faced by Professor Kim and his team is to find the best material for friction, and eventually they chose the two materials that were mentioned earlier. By four layers of superposition, these materials can produce the highest 170V voltage and 120 micro - an (MU) current. The tester successfully lit up six embedded LED lights through a friction sleeve on the shirt sleeves. It was introduced that the electric power could also light a small LCD screen and drive the key to the remote control.
Although the current technology of using this new type of material is very limited, such as the weak current, it is unlikely to use this kind of poorly breathable material to make clothes, but it does not exclude that in the future we can find a way to effectively collect the charge generated by friction and store the charge in an emergency battery package for special purposes. The possibility of temporary use.
