From analog IC and memory demand driven, Global Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) raised in 2006 the global semiconductor market growth forecast, from 8% to 10.1%, sales will reach $250 billion 460 million. The WSTS for the 2008 opinion quite optimistic that nearly 3 years of the semiconductor market will show a steady pace of growth forecast in 2007 will grow 11%, the market size of $278 billion, to 2008 is expected to exceed $300 billion mark.
