CSA02M00PB functional schematic diagram
On line news of the Nikkei technology, Toshiba has developed a 2 million pixel BSI (back irradiated) CMOS image sensor, "CSA02M00PB", which is equipped with a LED flicker suppression function for a vehicle mounted camera. Samples will be supplied from March 2016. The product is scheduled to be displayed on October 5, 2015 at the twenty-second ITS World Conference 2015, held in Bordeaux, France.
The scintillation of LED is successfully suppressed by the LED scintillation suppression circuit equipped with independent mode of LED. In the past, the problem of the vehicle CMOS image sensor is that when the LED signal lamp and logo are taken, the flickering image will be output, and the recognition can not be accurately identified. The new product realizes high speed and accurate sensing. In the 2 million pixel image sensor, the product of the LED scintillation suppression circuit is the first in the industry.
The new product is a new generation of HDR (high dynamic range) developed by Toshiba. This is a single frame, and it can also reduce the resolution degradation in the light and dark environment, and take a clear image that will not be overexposed. In addition, the new product used the BSI mode for the first time in the company's vehicle sensor, and compared with the original product, it can also take a bright image with high quality in a darker environment.
In addition, the new product is equipped with support for ASIL (car safety integrity level). It also meets the reliability standard of vehicle integrated circuit "AEC- Q100 (Grade2)" and is also suitable for the use of ADAS (advanced driving assistance system) to display images on the display in the vehicle, such as the front sensing camera, the electronic rearview mirror and the CMS (camera monitoring system).
The optical size of CSA02M00PB is 1/2.7 inches. The distance between pixels is 3 m. The output pixels are 1928 pixels (horizontal) * 1084 pixels (vertical). The output format is MIPI CSI-2 and Parallel. The maximum frame rate is 60 frames per second at double exposure and 45 frames per second at 3 heavy exposure. The dynamic range is 120dB (using the HDR function). The power supply voltage is 2.8V + 0.2V, the digital part is 1.2V + 0.1V, and the I/O is 1.8V + 0.1V. The package uses 9mm * 9mm PBGA.
