US $200 billion for China to levy tariff list (lighting industry related)

The Trump Administration recently released a list of products recommended for us $10% in tariffs on Chinese products exported to the United States, of which the products related to the lighting industry are shown in the following table: 200 billion.

Except for incandescent light sources (HS Code: 853922 and 853929) and LED replacement light source (HS Code: 85395000), the control table covers most of the lighting industry related products. The export volume of these products accounts for about 75% of China's total exports of light products, and over 30 billion US dollars, of which exports to the United States account for nearly 80% of China's total exports of light products to the United States, and over 8 billion dollars.

It should be noted that the list of suggested products for the $200 billion tax is still in the stage of soliciting comments, and the whole process will last for about two months. The process will be completed in August 30, 2018. After that, the US side can take practical action. Finally, whether to levy taxes or to levy taxes on specific products will be uncertain in the next two months. (author: Wen Qidong)
