Unwilling to replace LED lighting, this "UK's worst lighting shop" is closing.

According to foreign media reports, dubbed "the worst lighting store in Britain" is about to close.

This store is a Rackhams department store in Skipton, North York, UK. It belongs to one of the 31 shops that will soon be closed as part of the restructuring plan of House of Fraser, a 100 year old shop in the United Kingdom.

In recent years, the store has been criticized by lighting professionals for its poor store lighting. Lighting professionals criticized the store for poor lighting, damaged lamps, bare wires, and light source confusion. Therefore, Rackhams is dubbed "the worst lighting shop in the UK".

Closing the store is part of the proposed CVA (Company Voluntary Arrangement) of FL. It needs approval from the creditors and is scheduled to make a decision in June 22nd.

Frank Slevin, chairman of House of Fraser, told the press: "the retail industry is undergoing fundamental changes.

As the retail industry is responding to the rapid rise of online shopping, FL is one of the many high-end brands announced this year to close its stores.

Although the flagship store is still equipped with an interior decoration that emphasizes shopping experience, a so-called traditional shop like Rackhams may lack investment.

Some retailers like Rackhams have delayed lighting upgrades to save money, reserved traditional lighting such as fluorescent lamps and halogen lamps instead of investing in energy-efficient LED lighting. (Editor: LED net James)
