VR or small spacing, true love or misunderstanding?

This year is a busy and crowded year for the electronics industry. UAVs, robots, 3D printing, wireless charging, electric cars... All kinds of contests and colorful scenes are drawn into the category of display. There are three nouns which are now burning, that is, "virtual reality", "OLED" and "small spacing". In 2016, it was known as the first year of VR. The three giants (SONY, HTC, Oculus) successively presented their own VR flagship, Goldman Sachs praised VR/AR as "The Next Computing Device", and Google accelerated popularization with civilian version of the accelerator. The pseudo integrated machine, which is too urgent, has pushed virtual reality onto the high point of the times. It seems that tomorrow, virtual reality will change the world wildly. In contrast, OLED as the challenger of LCD was not news. Ten years ago, the development of OLED had been a trend. But the OLED of the year was very good, and its yield was poor and unstable. It was not ready to enter the market at all. Taiwan and Japan began to fade out after they encountered bottlenecks in the research and development. Give up! In this way, ten years of grinding a sword, grinding mill, also do not know how many worn, but the more grinding, the more sharpening, the more refined, grinding to a day, a passing master looked at it, said happily, "ah, I recently anguish can not practice a frightening new recruit!" If you look at this sword badly, you might as well sell it to me. " The swordsman called Apple, apple reputation is as high as the sky, now the sword with heroes, it can be said to complement each other, OLED's worth has turned over not only three times, the media has gone crazy all day to help OLED sedan chair, OLED has become the ultimate weapon that the display people want to have. Sorry, it's a long way off. Today's point is not to talk about OLED, but to talk about VR and OLED. In the most straightforward way, the concept of small spacing is to pull up the quality of the public display screen, and it will not be angry with you because you see the mosaic. So the spacing between pixels is very small, and the distance between them is small. LED also needs to be small. This is similar to the concept of micro LED, which has recently started fire. The opportunities brought by small spacing are mostly indoors. The high quality and large screen can bring amazing effects to commercial applications such as advertising and exhibitions. China, the largest display manufacturer, naturally does not miss the reason for small spacing waves. Well, the end of lubrication has come to the point. Small spacing, virtual reality and OLED are all popular fried chickens. People who invest a lot of money and lots of money are constantly expanding their industrial energy. Then there will be people who want to play Lianliankan. This is a constant truth. Among the three leading characters, the small spacing and OLED are men's horns, only pure friendship, and the heroine's virtual reality is on the stage. At the same time, the ground fire is moved with OLED Tian Lei immediately. (objectively speaking, the personality and the two characters are not). My heart is not reconciled! The plot, as you and I predicted, jumped out of the small space and shouted, "VR and I are a match made in heaven!" Riad, Lian Jian photoelectric, Shanghai San Si as a small spacing of the family members, naturally did not come out of the media, but others see mist, most do not understand the actual link between the two? Can VR and small spacing really develop into true love? At present, the concept of combining the two is not very specific, and it is a bit like saying everything in a different way, with a good heart and a good time to use the vigil. The concept of VR+ spacing is arranged into the following four points: 01. The head mounted VR vs naked eye VR is smaller than the current popular cognition head (HMD) VR. Take it out of the helmet and turn it from inside to outside. Just call him naked eye VR! This method is incompatible with HMD device, and can be said to be a competitor. The advantage is that it solves the limitations of weight, transmission speed, endurance, and inserting a bunch of wires on the head, but how to separate reality from virtual to achieve immersive effect? Do I have to ask a big question mark and surround them with four walls? First, not to mention a lot of technical issues to be discussed, to be sure, is absolutely more expensive than HMD VR, and can not be carried. Perhaps, this super non mainstream way may be combined with special areas, the main non household market, inexplicably playing a day, who knows? 02, VR synchronous live broadcast is not only reasonable but also much more specific, which we often see on the exhibition. When users experience the VR device, they use the small spacing display to synchronize the player's view. Don't forget, entertainment live has been a strong growth market. It makes sense to let VR experience both immerse and share at the same time. 03, the confusion of the concept of micro LED, the concept of some articles, in fact, is only talking about the small spacing to do micron level, so that it can replace OLED, become the high-end VR HMD display panel Balabala... ? Wait! Isn't this micro LED? Yes, it can be said that LED as pixel is different in level, difficulty and practice. To put it this way, the small spacing display, which is now PPI 20, has been distinguished. What is the goal of VR? According to the micro LED specification set out by HTC Vive, it is 2000 PPI! What a beautiful goal! Let's talk about it in three years. 04, using VR to advertise small spacing and wear VR helmet, you can see the effect of all kinds of small spacing installation. This is absolutely reasonable. VR includes online experience and advertisement in commercial application. It can also be used for LED lighting effect, or for house viewing, car watching and so on. This is indeed virtual. There is still a lot of room for development and imagination in the application market with great practicality, but from VR to AR/MR, it is a bit far fetched to say that it is called "VR+ small spacing". To sum up, does VR add small spacing? To put it this way, so far, we haven't seen the squeaky sparks of the collision between OLED and VR. It's more like selling hot names to the water.
