These lamps are specially equipped with sensors that can monitor office usage and measure air quality, including ambient temperature and other factors. Then, these indicators can be used to improve the working environment and optimize the utilization rate of space.
Before installation, these new lamps and lanterns were tested for three months. Since February this year, they have covered about 30 working points. To this end, Zumtobel Group has installed 15 custom independent luminaires, each of which is designed to illuminate two working points.
Independent lamps can make sensors near users, and can directly track air quality, temperature and environmental noise. In addition, lamps and lanterns contain integrated wireless modules in order not to require separate cables to transmit information.
Zumtobel says that when no one is in the office, there is no need for air conditioning in space. Especially in winter, there are fewer people in the office, and the air will soon dry out. Taking into account the space occupancy rate, it means that relative humidity can be maintained at a good level.
Based on the information provided by lighting, the space and operation cost can be optimized. Employees can even use special applications to find colleagues and locate nearby empty workspaces or conference rooms. (Editor: LED net James)
