It is reported that the second phase project of the LED sapphire crystal industrialization base invested by Xinjiang Amethyst Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. has a total investment of 90 million yuan. It will build a high-end LED technology research and development center, a testing center, an LED intelligent lighting product experience exhibition hall, and expand 50 35kg-90kg LED sapphire crystal infusion furnaces, a light-emitting diode packaging line and two LED lamp production lines.
According to Wei Jian, deputy general manager of Xinjiang Amethyst Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., after 50 foam furnaces are put into production, they can grow 50 tons of LED sapphire crystals every year. The maximum weight of the grown LED sapphire crystals will reach 90 kilograms. It will become the largest single LED sapphire crystal in Xinjiang and will be used more in fields such as precision machinery, national defense and military, and major domestic and foreign scientific research projects.
