Zhaochi Co., Ltd.: Optical module products are supplied to many industry leading customers

On July 7, Zhaochi announced that the company’s 100G and below rate optical module products have completed product verification at a number of leading optical communication equipment manufacturers and successfully achieved batch shipments.

Zhaochi Co., Ltd. stated that the company will use this optical module product supply as a new starting point, and will continue to increase its R&D investment in 400G/800G and 1.6T high-speed optical modules in the future, systematically improve key performance indicators such as product transmission rate, power consumption control, and environmental adaptability, and provide high-reliability optical transmission solutions for global data centers, AI computing power and other scenarios.

It is reported that Zhaochi Co., Ltd. officially entered the optical communications industry through the acquisition of Zhaochi Ruigu in June 2023, using optical devices and optical modules as entry points.

In order to further improve the layout of the entire industry chain from optical chips, optical devices to optical modules, Zhaochi announced in December 2024 that it will invest 1 billion yuan in optical communication high-speed modules and optical device projects (Phase I) and optical communication semiconductor laser chip projects (Phase I), to further open up the vertical integration of optical communication laser chips and terminal modules, and build an optical communication industry chain platform.

Among them, the "Optical Communication High-speed Module and Optical Device Project (Phase I)" aims to cover high-speed optical module technologies and products such as 100G and below, 200G, 400G, and 800G.

At present, the optical communication business has become the third key business of Zhaochi Co., Ltd. after smart terminals and LED industry chain.

Zhaochi Co., Ltd. stated that with the further implementation of optical communication business, Zhaochi’s business layout has been improved and new impetus has been injected into the company’s sustainable development. Looking forward to the future, Zhaochi will further explore more compound semiconductor fields such as indium phosphide and silicon carbide based on the scalability of optical technology, and promote the company's continuous upward development.
