1. As a driver IC manufacturer for LED displays, how do you view the development trend of the small-pitch LED display market? What do you think the pattern of small-pitch LED displays and traditional indoor displays will be?

Compared with traditional display screens, small-pitch displays require high technology thresholds and high capital investment. Moreover, small-pitch displays create opportunities for LED displays to go indoors and compete with LCD panels and projection screens in addition to large outdoor advertising screens. Small-pitch LED displays have the advantages of high contrast and high gray scale. Compared with projection screens, they have the advantages of high brightness and are not easily affected by the intensity of ambient light sources. External projection screens have the advantage of being easy to carry, while the strength of internal and external projection screens is the higher resolution of large screen splicing. Compared with LCD panels, there are no seams in large-size splicing, and LCD panels will remain stable in applications below 80". The biggest problems that small-pitch LED displays need to overcome are price and power consumption.

Due to the increase in people's requirements for the use and viewing of large displays, the substantial improvement in the display effect of LED small spacing has effectively made up for the shortcomings of DLP/LCD splicing, improved the indoor display product portfolio, and improved the indoor display experience. With the improvement of technical level and manufacturing capabilities, the market prospects of small spacing LED displays are bright, and the average annual growth rate in the next five years should be greater than 50%.
The so-called traditional indoor display should be called indoor in a strict sense. Only today's small spacing can really enter the indoor. Therefore, today’s small spacing and traditional indoors will maintain relatively independent development. However, it needs to be emphasized that as the cost of low-end, non-low-brightness, high-gray and small-pitch products decreases, part of the indoor display market will be eroded.

LED indoor screens will definitely be the market for small-pitch displays in the future, and this trend is obvious. Just like the mobile phone screens we use now, from VGA, QVGA to the current 1080P high-definition screen, the screen resolution is getting higher and higher, and the display effect is brighter, clearer, and more precise, so consumers must have enough demand for small-pitch displays. On the other hand, LED display screens are composed of unit boards, and the size of the display screen can be flexibly adjusted and customized according to actual customer needs and site constraints, while traditional displays are cut from glass and have a fixed size. In addition, LED displays can have irregular shapes or even curved surfaces, so the application scenarios are richer, more convenient and more flexible. As the resolution of small-pitch screens gradually increases, small-pitch LED screens will gradually replace traditional indoor displays in the future, starting from indoor advertising screens, signage and other public and commercial uses, and gradually entering homes and other richer application environments. However, considering the process required to gradually reduce costs, it will not be completely replaced in the short term. The speed of time depends on the cost adjustment of the entire industry supply chain.
