1. At present, small-pitch LED displays have attracted much attention in the LED display industry. Small spacing has become a new blue ocean for the development of LED displays. This trend poses new challenges to video processors/control systems. What kind of technical reserves and product launches does your company have for small-pitch LED display products?

As the name suggests, the characteristics of small-pitch LEDs are small screen dot spacing and high resolution per unit area. It can display higher-definition images and videos, and can also display more channels of video and images. Especially when used in image splicing, it can achieve seamless and arbitrary large-area splicing. Therefore, the video processor is required to have higher resolution image output capabilities, higher resolution and more channels of video image input capabilities, and more channels of real-time video window screen display capabilities. This is a challenge, but also an opportunity! Weiao Video has always focused on the R&D and manufacturing of video image processing equipment for large-screen displays, and has launched more than 10 LED professional video image processors closely following market demand, including LED high-definition video switchers, LED high-definition video splicers, LED high-definition video synchronizers, etc. We have 6 utility model patents and more than 10 software copyrights. We have obtained 2 more national invention patents this year, one for multi-screen display of high-definition video and one for seamless switching of high-definition video. These two patents are very advantageous in LED small-pitch video processing. Our new product LVP86XX series is launched for LED small spacing. It is highly integrated with synchronous splicing, multi-screen windowing and seamlessAdvanced functions such as seam switching. In particular, the splicing synchronization is handled perfectly. Even when playing 4K2K dynamic fast video, the image can be seamless, the image quality is clear, and the switching is smooth.

The pixel pitch of LED screens is getting smaller and smaller, which puts higher and higher requirements on the load capacity of LED video processors. Our company follows this trend and launches 9 series of products. Among them, KS920 can carry up to 5.2 million pixels (32.5 square meters P2.5), KS940 can carry up to 10.4 million pixels (23.4 square meters P1.5), and KS960 is based on a plug-in card structure and can carry up to 93.6 million pixels (210.6 square meters P1.5).
The increase in the resolution of small-pitch displays not only places higher demands on the video processor's simple load capacity, but also puts more stringent requirements on its image scaling algorithm. We know that the resolution of currently popular high-definition videos only reaches 1080P, which is 1920×1080 (2 million pixels). This determines that in addition to being able to meet the point-to-point display of customized-sized videos (expensive), the video processor also needs to have extremely high scaling capabilities to solve the current scarcity of high-resolution materials. In response to the above problems, the 9 series products specially incorporate our independently developed detail-lossless noise reduction technology and super-resolution image scaling technology.
In addition, the application of small-pitch products in command centers and other places has higher requirements for the multi-image processing capabilities of video processors. The products our company focuses on can handle multi-screen display of dozens or hundreds of signals, which solves this problem very well.

Why did the small-pitch market suddenly emerge? I think it has to do with technological progress and market development. It is said that the market for video walls (narrow-edge LCD splicing display units DID (Digital Information Display), DLP (Digital Light Processing)) is more than double that of display screens. With the development of technology, the perfect display effect of LED displays cannot be compared with traditional TV walls. The emergence of small spacing will divide the traditional video wall market by 30% to 50% from the perspective of effectiveness and cost. This is a large market of 10 to 20 billion, which is equivalent to reshaping the LED display industry. Therefore, companies that invest in small spacing in the early stage are very visionary. In the future, there may be a factory that only makes small spacing, just like when monochrome and full color coexisted in the past, some factories only made full color. The small-pitch market will be created by China. From systems to devices to finished product applications, it will be completely created by China and will go global in the next few years.
Lingxingyu has been focusing on the research and development of small spacing for a year or two. Small spacing is bound to undergo a technological revolution. In 2013, Lingxingyu Technology has launched a single receiving card for small spacing. The industry's largest single card supports 1024*256 loading, high refresh and 16-bit high grayscale, which can achieve greater loading while ensuring display effects. At present, Lingxingyu's system has achieved 32 scans like everyone else.
The market for small spacing is still in the development stage. The reasons why it didn’t happen immediately are: first, the cost is high; second, the production process is difficult; third, the small-pitch solution is actually immature. Both the driver and the current system are immature. After the upcoming technological revolution, the real spring of small spacing should start in the spring of 2015.
By then, the new system developed by Lingxingyu will once again lead a new technological revolution, just like the intelligent revolution in 2006 when computer settings replaced DIP switches. It will not only adapt to the traditional market, but also be more suitable for the small spacing market. Our new product is still under testing.
