The Guangdong Provincial Government website issued the "Opinions of the General Office of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government on Promoting the Development of Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Industries" on August 5. The opinion proposes that by 2015, the total output value of the energy conservation and environmental protection industry will reach 600 billion yuan, and a number of key energy conservation and environmental protection enterprises will be cultivated. There will be 10 enterprises with an annual output value exceeding 5 billion yuan, and 50 enterprises with an annual output value exceeding 1 billion yuan. The energy conservation and environmental protection industry will gradually be cultivated into one of the new pillar industries of Guangdong Province, providing strong support for the realization of Guangdong Province's "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" energy conservation and emission reduction goals.
According to the opinions, Guangdong Province will promote energy-saving and environmentally friendly products, including accelerating the promotion of industrial energy-saving technology and equipment, vigorously promoting high-efficiency energy-saving appliances, promoting the industrialization of LED green lighting, and demonstrating and promoting new energy vehicles and many other specific measures.
In terms of energy conservation and environmental protection technology, Guangdong Province will accelerate the modularization and productization of energy conservation and environmental protection technology, promote the research and development and application of environmental monitoring technology and environmental protection materials, promote the integration of energy conservation and environmental protection, industry, academia and research, and implement the energy conservation and environmental protection intellectual property strategy.
Measures to accelerate the cultivation of the energy conservation and environmental protection market include improving the development level of the energy conservation and environmental protection industry market, vigorously cultivating energy conservation and environmental protection service systems, and accelerating the promotion of new energy-saving building materials.
Guangdong Province will rely on existing ecological industrial demonstration parks, circular economy industrial parks and other platforms to create a number of energy-saving and environmentally friendly industrial bases. Promote the formation of an industrial agglomeration belt with energy-saving and environmental protection technology research and development and headquarters bases as the core in the Pearl River Delta region, and the formation of an industrial agglomeration belt featuring comprehensive utilization of resources in the east, west, and north regions.
