As for whether the Suzhou subsidiary produces PSS substrates, Ye Aimin denied it. Since the Suzhou subsidiary produces 4-inch epitaxial wafers, the corresponding 4-inch epitaxial wafers have relatively high quality requirements for PSS substrates. The company is currently improving the corresponding 4-inch PSS manufacturing level.
In the company's 2013 annual report, the expenditure on the research and development project of patterned sapphire production technology for high-brightness LEDs showed that the balance at the beginning of the year was 3.812 million yuan, the increase in the current period was 1.7902 million yuan, and the ending balance was 5.6022 million yuan. It can be seen that the company is relatively active in investing in PSS substrates.
