Huaihua cultivates new display industry cluster worth hundreds of billions

On May 5, the first Hunan (Huaihua) RCEP Economic and Trade Expo Optoelectronic Display Industry Development Summit Forum was held. Experts, scholars and entrepreneurs in the optoelectronic industry from both inside and outside the province gathered together to exchange cutting-edge ideas on the development of the new display industry and make suggestions for the high-quality development of Huaihua's new display industry.

Wang Jianqiu, deputy secretary of the Huaihua Municipal Party Committee, introduced that Huaihua is striving to build 13 industrial chains, including the new display industry chain, using the chain length system as the starting point to promote the construction of the new display industry chain, and has completed the entire industry layout of "quartz sand-cover glass-display panel-display terminal". Through 5 to 10 years of efforts, we will make every effort to cultivate and create a new display industry cluster worth hundreds of billions.

Experts and entrepreneurs in the optoelectronic industry such as Hu Chunming, executive deputy secretary-general of the LCD branch of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Industry Association, Tian Yingliang, a professor at Beijing University of Technology, and Du Sichun, an associate professor at Hunan University, gave keynote speeches focusing on the current status of industry development, future development trends, and the development of Huaihua optoelectronic display industry. They believe that Huaihua's creation of a new display industry cluster worth RMB 100 billion has the advantages of an international land port, leading traction advantages, cost factor advantages, and full industry chain advantages. At present, we must actively seize the great opportunity to undertake the construction of industrial transfer demonstration zones in southern Hunan and western Hunan, and promote the development of industrial clusters with the overall idea of "solid materials, strong screens and gathering ends".
