Local LED industry launches regional standard formulation
A few days ago, a Jiangxi LED company stated in its new product release that it would adopt the Guangdong LED standard. This is the first time that the Guangdong LED standard has been adopted by a Jiangxi company. Faced with the measures to export standards from domestic peers, the Quanzhou LED industry has also begun to formulate the Quanzhou LED local quality standard system. The testing center is open for free services In the daily production process of LED manufacturers, the detection of light distribution, chromaticity, safety and other indicators is essential. Previously, due to the low testing capabilities of local companies, it was difficult to guarantee the quality of LED products of many small businesses. It is understood that most local companies currently need to go to the National LED Application Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center in Xiamen or even further testing centers to test LED-related products. The minimum test for a variety is one or two thousand yuan, and they usually have to wait in line for testing. It takes about half a month to test a product; in Quanzhou, Quanzhou Optoelectronics Technology Research Institute is limited to eight shareholder units.
In response to this situation, reporters recently learned from Quanzhou Optoelectronic Technology Research Institute that in addition to ensuring the needs of shareholders, the Optoelectronic Technology Research Institute testing center will be open to local LED companies and provide free testing services to companies in need. At present, the testing center of the Optoelectronic Technology Research Institute has conducted product light distribution testing for more than 20 companies and issued more than 100 testing reports. In addition to LED manufacturers, there are also companies that plan to carry out energy-saving renovation of LED lamps and select products for renovation by testing a variety of LED sample lamps. In the near future, the institute will purchase new equipment to expand the scope of testing. Staff of the testing center of the Institute of Optoelectronics Technology said that the testing equipment in the testing center now mainly focuses on optical testing, and the newly purchased equipment will focus on testing electrical performance and safety performance. The institute will rent the site of Licheng Technology Entrepreneurship Service Center for the expansion of the testing center. The newly added equipment will be compared with the level of national testing institutions to ensure the authority and accuracy of the testing results. Develop regional standards focusing on standard output
Due to the lack of unified LED standards in the country, many regions in the country have begun to develop or have formulated LED product standards applicable to industries in certain regions. Not long ago, a LED company in Jiangxi cooperated with Shenzhen Changyuntong Optoelectronics to adopt Guangdong LED standards and release new technologies and products of "de-illuminated LED standard optical components". This is also the first time that Guangdong LED standards have been adopted by Jiangxi companies. "We mainly produce LED light sources. There are no fixed standards now. As long as the products can be completed according to customer requirements." The person in charge of an LED lighting manufacturer in Quanzhou said that such things are common in the industry. Although the state has also taken the lead in formulating some standards and specifications for the LED industry, such as "Technical Specifications for Evaluation of Energy Savings and Greenhouse Gas Emission Reductions in LED Lighting Projects", "General Technical Conditions for LED Stage Lights", and "Inspection Regulations for Import and Export Lighting Equipment Part 2: LED Modules for General Lighting", it is still difficult to cover multiple projects of LED lighting products.
To formulate local LED industry standards to ensure product quality and even achieve standard output, the Quanzhou LED industry has also started work in this area. It is understood that less than 80% of the registered LED companies in Quanzhou have formulated relevant corporate standards and filed them with relevant departments. Recently, the Optoelectronics Research Institute has established a standardization research room, and will work with the Quanzhou Standardization Association to jointly formulate the Quanzhou LED local quality standard system. The formulation of standards will help improve the overall level of the local LED industry, and form a group and regional brand effect, which will be of great help to the products to open markets in other regions.
