The oversupply of LED industry has led Korean factories to decide to downsize. Korean media ETNews 23 reported that Iljin Group is currently clearing its LED chip and packaging business, and has gone to the Seoul Central District Court (Seoul Central District Court) in December 18th to apply for a reorganization process and leave the fate to the judge. The parent company of Japan group is ILJIN Materials Co. (Ltd.), which has been rumored that the Japanese group decided to restructure in order to avoid affecting the financial situation of the parent company. Since the establishment of LED business in Japan, it has never turned into a profit in any year. In addition, SKC intends to integrate into the LED lighting business SKC Lighting, and it is expected that all programs will be completed in March (2016). SKC Lighting was founded in September 2011, when SKC thought that the LED lighting market should be able to sustain its development. However, it was not thought that the LED business had been established since then. In addition, Samsung Electronics Co. also downgraded the LED business department to the operation group in September, while LG Innotec originally wanted to become LED overlord, but now quietly sold the sapphire wafer (Sapphire Wafer) business to Sumitomo chemical (Sumitomo Chem) and three star joint venture subsidiary.
