Philips obtains Taiwan's first batch of LED bulbs CNS certification

The issue of environmental protection and energy conservation is becoming popular, driving the rise of the LED lighting market. The CNS compulsory certification system for LED lighting products from the Taiwan Bureau of Standards and Inspection of the Ministry of Economic Affairs was officially launched on July 1. A few days ago, Philips announced that it had obtained the first batch of "CNS certification for built-in ballast LED bulbs" issued by the Taiwan Standards and Inspection Bureau on July 3. Philips pointed out that general LED bulbs have passed three major projects: electrical safety (CNS15436), performance (CNS15630), and electromagnetic compatibility (CNS14115), including the photobiological safety (CNS15592) inspection that consumers pay more attention to. Among them, "photobiological safety" is a test and risk specification for the damage of LED light sources to biological organs such as human eyes and skin, among which blue light is the focus of detection. In fact, starting from July 1, the Standards and Inspection Bureau has stipulated that all imported and newly produced LED light bulbs must have CNS certification before they can be sold on the street, and the accuracy of packaging information is also subject to supervision.
