Cai Guangchao, deputy secretary-general of the LED Display Application Branch of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Industry Association, introduced the drafting process of this surface-mount series spectrum group standard. Cai Guangchao particularly emphasized that the surface-mount series spectrum group standard discussed this time was also a common standard established by the Cross-Strait Standards Forum last year (2019). The group standards discussed this time will be closely communicated through relevant departments on both sides of the Taiwan Strait in the future, and will form common standards for cross-strait information and technology standards.
What is the role of type spectrum and why should we develop relevant type spectrum standards? Cai Guangchao said that model spectrum is planned according to model specifications in a type of product system, and is a product series combination composed of multiple specifications. The purpose of establishing a type spectrum is to allow us to intuitively see at a glance the correlation between the specifications of the product series and compare them with reference to the functional characteristics, technical parameters and appearance of each specification. The benefits brought by type spectrum to industries and industries are to provide series and varieties for design, production and procurement; to give priority to recommending series and varieties to bidding companies and to reduce non-standards, which is beneficial to procurement, etc. The ultimate goal of launching the "Series Spectrum of Light-Emitting Diode Surface Mount Products (SMD) for Indoor Small Pitch/Mini Full-Color LED Displays" is to provide a basic standard for the efficient operation and application of the entire industry chain, including planning, design, and final product formation and delivery to users.
The industry association took the lead in posting the series of type spectrum group standards (draft). Dr. Li Zongtao of Nationstar Optoelectronics introduced and explained the draft and preparation process. This standard is one of the basic standards for semiconductor light-emitting diode series products and provides a basis for product type selection for the formulation of other related standards and documents. The purpose of preparing this standard is: to provide standard series and varieties of semiconductor light-emitting diodes that can be prioritized for related design, production and procurement; to recommend standard series and varieties of semiconductor light-emitting diodes to bidding companies; to promote the use of standard series and varieties of semiconductor light-emitting diodes specified in the spectrum to minimize The use of non-standard products will improve the level of standardization and serialization; control and plan management of the production, research and development of semiconductor light-emitting diodes, and meet the use needs in the module and complete machine fields with fewer series and varieties, in order to control varieties, enhance investment effects, improve product quality and effective supporting supply.
In my country's standards system, group standards are standards jointly developed by legally established social groups to meet market and innovation needs and coordinate relevant market entities. It is of great significance to guide the industry and standardize the healthy development of the industry. Liu Yuqing, deputy secretary-general of the Optoelectronic Devices Branch of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Industry Association, also pointed out that group standards come from market demand and have natural market attributes. Group standards are a highlight and key point in the national standards reform. As an important supplement to the national standards, group standards are competitive and best meet the needs of current industry development.
