American artist Janet Echelman recently displayed her large works of device art over Ross Kennedy Boulevard in Boston.
The whole work, like a big fishing net, hangs on the surrounding high-rise buildings, and artists say she wants to borrow the work to reflect on the history and Modernity of the Boston region. As a coastal city, Boston once had a very developed fishery, and there were a few hills around the surrounding area. This "fishing net" can be danced with the surrounding natural climate change, and it seems to be able to see the long past of this area.
Echelman also plans to install LED lighting in the work, lighting the "fishing net" like a fish buoy lamp at night, and the lights can also change with the wind, adding a charming landscape to the city night sky.
