Recently, as a key provincial and municipal project, the first major project to start construction in Qingdao Virtual Reality Industrial Park - a virtual reality machine and optical module project with a total investment of 10 billion yuan was fully delivered, becoming the first industrial project to be completed and delivered in the park.

The virtual reality machine and optical module project is located north of Zhuzhou Road, east of Keyuan Jingliu Road, west of Keyuan Jingqi Road, and south of Planning Xinhong Road, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan. The optical modules and VR headsets and other hardware produced after commissioning will be widely used in smart wearables and peripheral smart devices. In the fields of energy terminals and other fields, after the production line reaches full capacity, it can achieve an annual production capacity of 25 million smart machines and 50 million optical modules, helping Qingdao accelerate the cultivation of a 100-billion-level virtual reality industry cluster and create an internationally leading development highland for the virtual reality industry.

A few days ago, the 2023 International Virtual Reality Innovation Conference was successfully held. The conference officially released the "Guiding Opinions of Shandong Province on Accelerating the Innovation and Development of the Metaverse Industry", which mobilized the city's efforts to build a strong virtual reality industry ecosystem and create an industrial development layout of "one core, three poles, and multiple points".

Qingdao Virtual Reality Industrial Park is the "core center". With the acceleration of project construction, a large number of industry leading projects and leading companies are gathering at an accelerated pace. A number of industry leading companies such as Dapeng VR, Goertek Vision, Goertek Optical, and Yuntian Changxiang have moved their headquarters to the park, and the National Virtual Reality Innovation Center (Qingdao) has been officially put into use.

Currently, the Creation and Enjoyment Center project, which has only been under construction for 10 months, is expected to be closed by the end of December this year<<.
