On May 13, SID Display Week 2025 (SID 2025) officially opened at the San Jose Convention Center in California, USA. Exhibitors include AUO, TCL CSOT, Unilumin Technology, Chenxian Optoelectronics, Digital Optical Core, BOE, Tianma and other companies.
The main body of Leyard Changsha LED Industrial Park is capped
On May 14, the main structure of Leyard Changsha LED Industrial Park was capped, with a construction area of 66,000 square meters. The project, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan, is located in Changsha Wangcheng Economic Development Zone and integrates LED smart display equipment, 5G smart lighting and optoelectronics R&D and production. After the project is put into operation, the annual output value is expected to reach 2 billion yuan, and the annual tax revenue will exceed 60 million yuan, creating an intelligent industrial base.
Nitron invested US$19 million to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary
On May 9, the board of directors of Nitron Technology passed a resolution to invest no more than US$19 million (approximately NT$610 million) to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary in mainland China, focusing on the production, manufacturing and sales of panel components and modules, aiming to expand the mainland market.
Nova Nebula and Dahua Technology have reached a cooperation

Two AR glasses companies completed latest financing
Recently, AR glasses company XREAL received an exclusive investment of 200 million yuan from Pudong Venture Capital, bringing its cumulative financing to more than 100 million US dollars. Weiguang Technology has completed nearly 50 million yuan in Pre-A round of financing, focusing on the integration of AI and AR. Avicena completes US$65 million in financing
Avicena, an American Micro LED chip interconnect technology company, completed US$65 million in Series B financing, bringing its total financing to US$120 million. The funds will be used to expand the team and promote mass production of the first product. The LightBundle? technology developed by Avicena is based on GaN Micro LED, has low power consumption, low latency and high bandwidth density, and is suitable for high-performance computing, AI and 5G fields.
IQE’s Micro LED wafer orders have increased

Seoul Semiconductor’s revenue in the first quarter was 239.2 billion won
Seoul Semiconductor released its first quarter results for 2025, with revenue of 239.2 billion won, a year-on-year decrease of 1% and a month-on-month decrease of 11%. Operating profits continued to suffer losses, with adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of 4 billion won, with a profit margin of 2%. Performance is affected by macroeconomic fluctuations and seasonal demand. Looking forward to the second quarter of 2025, Seoul Semiconductor predicts that the company's revenue will be between 260 billion and 280 billion won, a month-on-month increase of 9% to 17%, and a year-on-year decline of approximately 1% to 8%. It is expected that as demand for automotive and IT display and lighting businesses recovers, Seoul Semiconductor's revenue and profitability will gradually improve.
Fucai’s revenue in the first quarter increased by 0.9% year-on-year
Fucai’s revenue in the first quarter of 2025 was NT$5.632 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.9% and a month-on-month increase of 2.3%. The net loss after tax was 442 million yuan. The loss improved from the same period last year and the previous quarter, and the EPS was -0.6 yuan. Product revenue composition in the first quarter: automotive 22%, sensing 9%, professional lighting 10%, TV backlight 14%, laptop/monitor/mobile phone backlight 19%.
Liqing’s revenue in the first quarter increased by 16.99% year-on-year
Liqing’s consolidated revenue in the first quarter of 2025 was NT$2.049 billion, a year-on-year increase of 16.99%. Thanks to the growth in orders for LED car lighting modules and headlight controllers, the operating net profit was 35.52 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 81.21%. Net profit after tax was 30.45 million yuan, basically the same as last year, and earnings per share were 0.25 yuan. Revenue in April was 809 million yuan, an increase of 14.26% from the previous month.
