Intermei’s patent for LED phosphor white light spreads around the world and “you will be guilty if you touch the net”

At two o'clock in the afternoon on June 10, the "Intermei LED Phosphor White Light Patent Seminar" was held in the auditorium on the third floor of Shangri-La Hotel, Guangzhou. Companies participating in the meeting include many well-known companies in the LED industry chain such as Geliang Optoelectronics, Dongshan Precision, Silian Optoelectronics, Quanjing Optoelectronics, Mike Optoelectronics, Mulinsen, Suijing Optoelectronics, etc. The meeting was chaired by Li Xiangbang, general manager of Intermei Optical Materials Co., Ltd. At the forum, Dr. Li Yiqun, Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Interme, delivered a speech. He said: "Currently, the five major companies in the phosphor field (Nichia, Osram, Cree, Lumileds, and TG) have authorized each other's blue light chip and YAG white light conversion patents; SeoulSemi, BridGelux, and Epistar have each authorized "blue light chip" patents with one of the five. Nichia only They have limited licensing of YAG white light patents to individual relevant companies. They do not have strong patents in China, so they have not fought patent lawsuits in China, but it is difficult to say. In the past few years, most LED lawsuits have been related to white light conversion. White light LEDs containing YAG are very risky in markets outside China. " Dr. Li talked about the importance of LED patents and the development trend of LED in China, compared the respective component patents of several large international companies, and analyzed Intermec's patent advantages. Currently, Intermemi has more than 160 authorized patents, more than 300 pending patent applications, and more than 100 authorized U.S. patents worldwide. It has applied for patents in all major markets such as the United States, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China and Europe. The patents cover compositions and LED applications. Intermemi’s intellectual property includes key phosphor material compositions, including GAL, red nitride, NYAG and silicate phosphors, and LED applications. In addition, Intermic continues to strengthen the advantages of its patent portfolio by increasing R&D investment in promoting phosphor materials, non-contact phosphors, quantum dots and other important lighting materials, components, systems and applications. Intermec's expertise includes: luminescent materials, light and color mixing, LED lighting components, optical displays and signage.
