According to data, the Jiageng Innovation Laboratory was approved and established by the Fujian Provincial Government in September 2019. It is one of the first four provincial innovation laboratories in Fujian and the first Class II public institution jointly organized by the Xiamen Municipal Government and Xiamen University. The innovation laboratory has incubated nearly 80 technology industry projects involving new displays, lithium battery new energy, hydrogen energy, etc.
With the support of Jiageng Innovation Laboratory and Xiamen University, Xiamen Future Display Technology Research Institute is actively promoting the preparation for construction, and the institute has also been approved for construction. "National Integrated Circuit Industry-Education Integration Innovation Platform" (only 4 of the first batch in the country), and has established close cooperative relationships with leading innovative companies in the industry such as Sanan Optoelectronics, Qianzhao Optoelectronics, and Tianma Microelectronics.
Xiamen Future Display Technology Research Institute focuses on the strategic needs of the development of the new display industry, focusing on Micro LED display technology and flexible electronics technology, and focusing on the development and transfer of industry common technologies, forward-looking technologies, display integration technologies, etc.
Currently, Xiamen Future Display Technology Research Institute has built the world's first 23.5-inch (G2.5, 370mm×470mm) Micro LED mass transfer process demonstration line, with a complete Micro LED intelligent manufacturing innovation chain from artificial intelligence-assisted design, chip manufacturing, transfer integration, reliability assessment, etc.
At the same time, the institute has also developed Micro LED chip products for multi-application scenarios and high-performance display, and has developed a high-yield, high-efficiency laser mass transfer full-chain process to achieve the lighting of single-color and full-color chip arrays.
